Look to Norge

Filmbiten nedenfor (om Michael Moores Norges-reportasje) ble lagt ut på reddit.com, og avstedkom en stor mengde kommentarer. Disse er veldig interessante å lese, siden de er skrevet hovedsakelig av amerikanere- noen som har vært i Norge, noen som kjenner noen som har vært i Norge, og noen som bare synser.
Men det er mange av dem som er klartenkte nok til ikke å hoste opp den reaksjonen mange uopplyste liksom-liberale nett-synsere kommer med når USA sammenlignes ufordelaktig med andre land, nemlig at vi er så ufrie i Europa og betaler så mye skatt, staten bestemmer alt, vi har ikke noe fritt marked og så bortetter.

Mange gode og opplyste kommentarer, blant annet denne, av signaturen moriquendo:

"Public sector: I am aware of the fact that many Americans criticise Europe's public sector (and have in mind such evil and wasteful things as universal, public healthcare, generous pensions etc.). However, given the absolutely TITANIC amount of tax money the US spends - not to say wastes - on the military and law enforcement, I would be rather quiet about other countries' public spending. There is, from a financial point of view, little difference between paying a large bureaucracy, which will have waste and inefficiencies due to the size of the organisation, and not because it is state run, and handing out gigantic amounts of tax money to politically well connected private institutions who are often found out to be less than perfectly honest with the state than they should be."
